Pathmark Hires Financial S.V.P. to Succeed Current Controller
CARTERET, N.J. -- Pathmark Stores, Inc. here said yesterday that Kevin R. Darrington has joined as an s.v.p. in the financial area. A certified public accountant, Darrington will work with Joseph W. Adelhardt, Pathmark's s.v.p., controller, and principal accounting officer, until Adelhardt's retirement in July, when Darrington will take over the responsibilities of that position.
Darrington comes to Pathmark from Boulder, Colo.-based Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, where he served as c.f.o. Before joining Pharmaca, he held several financial positions at Foot Locker, Inc., among them v.p., corporate controller from 2002 to 2005, and retail controller from 2000 to 2002.
Pathmark is a Northeast regional supermarket chain currently operating 141 supermarkets in the New York-New Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan areas.
