Ohio Offers License Plate Renewal in Supermarkets
Ohio drivers in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati will now be able to renew their license plates at their local supermarket. The first kiosk opened in suburban Columbus on April 2 and the remaining eight are expected to be up and running within the month. The kiosks are part of a pilot program, BMV4U, and if successful, could expand to other locations and offer more services, according to John Born, director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will not charge any extra fees for using the kiosks, and drivers only need to swipe their driver’s license and credit card to receive their registration stickers.
