NGA's 'NGATV' Growing to Weekly Podcast
The National Grocers Association said on Friday it is expanding its NGATV programming into a new weekly podcast, and will launch May 9 on the Arlington, Va. trade group's Web site.
NGA said the podcasts will cover issues of importance to both the trade group's members and consumers, such as how to buy local, initiatives to enhance community involvement, improving energy efficiency and sustainable practices, and the impact of rising food costs. The podcast will also feature up-to-the-minute congressional and regulatory updates.
NGATV began three years ago, as a live broadcast from the show floor at the association's annual convention. The show, then titled "Independently Speaking," gave show floor attendees value-added content focused on education, information, industry relations, and innovation.
The new program will be taped weekly and archived on the NGA Web site, www.nationalgrocers.org, the trade group said.
