Nash Finch Names Dorcy Head of Retail

MINNEAPOLIS - Nash Finch Company announced on Monday that Jim Dorcy has been promoted to senior vice president and named head of corporate retail. Dorcy will replace Mike Petersen, who resigned for family reasons.

In making the announcement, Ron Marshall, president and CEO of Nash Finch Company, stressed Dorcy's experience and track record in the food industry and called him "perfectly matched for the job and right for the challenge."

"I consider this an opportunity for Nash Finch to tap the enthusiasm and energy of an individual who has a positive record in managing our recent gross margin and sales improvement efforts. Jim also brings a wide range of successes in his more than 20 years experience in the food industry, as well as a proven ability to accomplish his goals wherever he has been. Under his leadership, we have an even stronger level of confidence in the future of Nash Finch retail," Marshall concluded.
