NACDS Makes Organizational Changes, Forms Member Programs Group

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has named Jim Whitman s.v.p. for member programs, to head a new group charged building and strengthening NACDS' retail and associate member programs and potentially creating new programs.

The new member programs group will review existing efforts and find new ways to enhance activities that remain important to NACDS and its members, as well as provide recommendations for concluding or withdrawing from other activities.

Joining Whitman will be Fitz Elder, v.p. and chief member relations officer, and Steve Perlowski, v.p. for industry affairs, to help in these efforts.

"I want to ensure that our retail and associate members are well served and receive full value for their support in all NACDS activities," said NACDS president and c.e.o., Craig Fuller. "Based on their prior experience, this team is ideally suited to look at the strengths and weaknesses of some of our programs. We look to Jim and his team to help make NACDS as successful in the future as it has been in the past."

Terry Arth will serve as v.p. for meeting services and take full responsibility for the successful execution of all NACDS meetings and conferences. Additionally, Larry Lotridge will assume full responsibility of conference services.
