Kroger's Nashville Division, UFCW Ratify Agreement

Associates working for the 93 stores in the Kroger Co.’s Nashville division have ratified a new labor agreement with Local 1995 of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW), covering 12,000 associates working in middle and east Tennessee, north Alabama, and south Kentucky.

The new contract provides wage increases, affordable health care and ongoing investment in associates’ pension fund to support their retirement.

“This agreement comes after thoughtful and productive work by both the company and the union bargaining committees,” said Zane Day, president of Kroger's Nashville division. “I appreciate our associates for supporting the agreement and for the excellent service they provide our customers every day."

Cincinnati-based Kroger operates 2,778 retail food stores under a variety of local banners in 35 states and Washington, D.C.
