Kroger Re-Ups with DSI for Front End

In-store magazine merchandising and marketing company Distribution Services Inc. has re-signed its front end checkout reset agreement with The Kroger Co, through December 2012.

“We are very pleased to have re-signed with DSI as our front-end installation partner,” said Jim Belegrin, Kroger’s drug/GM senior manager of merchandising services. “Over the past six years, they have performed very well and we look forward to a successful year in 2012.”

DSI has provided full front-end merchandiser reset services to the Cincinnati-based grocer for six years running. “DSI’s retail team is pleased to continue providing installation services for Kroger’s front-end checkout fixture initiatives,” said John Swider, president and CEO of Boca Raton, Fla.-based DSI. “We are appreciative that Kroger has selected our dedicated and experienced field staff to handle all aspects of these displays, as well as their merchandising, as retailers view the front-end as the most valuable real estate in the store.”

DSI is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Media Inc., which owns and operates the leading print and digital celebrity and health and fitness media brands in the United States. AMI’s titles include Star, OK!, National Enquirer, Globe, Soap Opera Digest, Men’s Fitness, Fit Pregnancy and Natural Health.
