Kings Thinks Beyond Turkeys for Latest Holiday Promotion
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Regional chain Kings Super Markets is kicking its standard holiday promotion up a notch by giving away more than 25,000 prizes, in addition to turkeys.
Kings just launched a seven-week Consumer Appreciation Game & Sweepstakes, its biggest promotion yet. Already, store associates have noticed consumer excitement, spokeswoman Cheryl Good told Progressive Grocer.
"In the past we have given away turkeys, cameras, and other items. This year we wanted our holiday promotion to be even more exciting, to let customers know how much we appreciate them, and to attract new customers, as well," noted Good. While many supermarkets in the competitive New Jersey and New York operating region give away turkeys, Kings' new promotion gives them something more, she added.
Kings' shoppers will receive their instant-win game cards at the register. New game cards will be given out each week for seven weeks (the promotion is currently in its second week). One customer per week will win free groceries for a year, and the eighth week will bring a Grand Prize Sweepstakes worth $25,000 cash.
