K-VA-T's Food City Sponsors 'Tailgater of the Game' Contest
Food City, a banner of Abingdon, Va.-based K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc., is co-sponsoring a contest with Knoxville media for fans tailgating at University of Tennessee Volunteers home games. Weekly winners receive a $500 Food City gift card plus a chance to win 10 Southeastern Conference championship tickets.
The competition began Sept. 13, with five weekly winners chosen so far.The grocer's Web site links to a page with photos of weekly winners, where Web site visitors can then vote for their choice of the Tailgater of the Year. The top winner, who will receive the SEC championship tickets, will be announced Nov. 29, when UT plays the University of Kentucky.
