Instacart Teams with Asian Supermarket Chain H Mart

Asian-inspired grocery chain H Mart is expanding its partnership nationally with Instacart.

Residents in Philadelphia, the first expansion city, can now use the online platform to order authentic Asian products from H Mart, the largest ethnic grocer in the U.S.

H Mart deliveries will also be available soon in select zip codes throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif; Washington D.C. suburbs; Atlanta; Chicago suburbs; and Houston. Instacart prices will match H Mart in-store prices.

“We’re excited to deliver those hard to find items like kimchi and curry to customers throughout more of our markets,” said Vishwa Chandra, VP of retail accounts at Instacart. “It’s important we continue to offer a wide variety of options on our platform, whether that be conventional grocery items, organic, or ethnic foods.”

Sam Kim, director of marketing & management planning for H Mart, said, “Customer feedback has been incredibly positive, and the best way to reach new customers is to offer same-day delivery.”

Instacart currently services 18 metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Austin, Boulder, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
