Instacart Expands in Texas, Conn., Ohio, Fla., S.C.

Grocery delivery service provider Instacart has expanded its service to areas in several states, including Texas, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio and South Carolina.

Instacart’s service is now available to:

  • Residents in 15 ZIP codes of Texas’ Midland-Odessa area, who can now order from such food retailers as H-E-B and Natural Grocers
  • Residents in 41 ZIP codes of greater Bridgeport, Conn., who can now order from such food retailers as Whole Foods Market, Price Rite, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco and Fairway Market
  • Residents in 57 ZIP codes of the Hartford, Conn., area, who can now order from such food retailers as Big Y, BJ’s,s Costco, Price Rite and Whole Foods
  • Residents in 22 ZIP codes of the Tallahassee, Fla., area, who can now order from such food retailers as Publix Super Market, Whole Foods and Costco
  • Residents in 26 ZIP codes of the Palm Bay, Fla., area, who can now order from such food retailers as Publix and BJ’s
  • Residents in 25 ZIP codes of Daytona Beach, who can now order from such food retailers as Publix
  • Residents in 21 ZIP codes of the Columbia, S.C., area, who can now order from such food retailers as Publix, Whole Foods and Costco

Customers use the Instacart website or app to create their shopping lists from their favorite local stores, and Instacart connects them with shoppers who handpick the items on their lists and deliver them straight to their homes.

Based in San Francisco, Instacart has set a goal of launching in more than 100 new markets in 2017. Last month, it revealed plans to serve 80 percent of American households by 2018.
