Hobart's McDonough Named President of ITW N.A. Food Equipment Group

TROY, Ohio -- John T. McDonough, previously president of Hobart Foodservice here, has been named president of ITW Food Equipment Group (FEG)/North America.

In his new role, McDonough has full responsibilities for the full breadth of the FEG/North America operations. He retains direct responsibilities for Hobart's foodservice operations, including the warewashing/waste division and Traulsen.

Also reporting to McDonough is Hobart's retail and service divisions, Vulcan-Hart, and ITW Foodservice Businesses Gaylord, Kairak, Somat, Stero and Wittco, among others.

McDonough joined Hobart in 1991, beginning his career with the company as a market segment director for the Hobart foodservice business. He was then a product line director for the warewashing/waste equipment division, and later v.p. of sales and marketing before assuming his most recent assignment in October 2000 as president of Hobart's N.A. Foodservice division.

Before joining Hobart, McDonough was a managing consultant with Frank Lynn & Associates, a Chicago-based consulting firm specializing in channel management strategies and best practices.

McDonough currently serves as an officer of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), as well as on its finance committee, its executive committee, and its customer advisory task force. He is also a trustee of the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA) Educational Foundation.
