Hobart's Bair Earns Environmental Accreditation

TROY, Ohio -- Jenni Bair, food retail marketing manager for Hobart Corp. here, has earned LEED Accredited Professional status from the United States Green Building Council, the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance buildings.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. As a LEED accredited professional, Bair will work with store planning and management professionals to ensure that new or remodeled locations operate more efficiently.

"An understanding of the issues and options involved in building efficiency allows us to help food retailers operate more economically," which can be a real competitive advantage, said Bair.

Sarah Puls, v.p./brand marketing for Hobart, said the LEED Accreditation will play a significant part of Hobart's relationship with food retailers. "Our customers are being asked to run more efficiently and more economically," said Puls. "In a business where margins are squeezed from many different directions, our support in these efforts can help them translate those efficiencies to the bottom line."
