Hispanic Foods Supplier Expands Distribution to Include Dollar Stores

WILMINGTON, Calif. -- Hispanic foods supplier Juanita's Foods here is expanding its distribution to include the dollar store channel. Sold under the Juanita's Foods, Tia Anita's, or Pico Pica label, selected products include Menudo, Hominy, Pozole, and Strawberry/Banana Licuados.

"As the Hispanic consumer becomes more and more acculturated, their desire for convenient foods increases," said Ric Alvarez, president and c.e.o. of Juanita's Foods, in a statement. "At the same time, both the generation of Hispanics that are born in the United States, as well as non-Hispanics, quickly -- and eagerly -- choose to enjoy Hispanic foods and beverages on a regular basis. It's important to reach each of these consumers -- they demand quality and value and they love to shop the dollar store concept."

Juanita's Foods claims to be the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of prepared Menudo. Juanita's also offers Pozole, Meatball Soup, Mexican-Style Hominy, Hot and Mild Sauces, Traditional Beef and Vegetable and Traditional Chicken and Vegetable Soups, and easy-to-make Mexican Beverages.
