HEB's Central Market Goes Low with Free Organic Milk, other Discounts
Even upscale supermarkets apparently have to offer deals and discounts to keep customers shopping their aisles these days. One such operator, Central Market, H.E.B’s fresh market format, is doing just that by offering discounts on purchases, plus a free gallon of its organic milk.
A coupon offering customers $10 off a $50 order, $15 off a $75 order and $20 off a $100 order, from Friday through Aug. 21 was sent out via email. While minimum purchase requirements exclude alcohol, tobacco, pharmacy and gift card purchases, the coupon offers a maximum value of $24.99.
Customers who redeem the coupon on Saturday or Sunday will receive the free gallon of milk. Subscribers of the grocer’s Foodie email newsletter, which details store offering and goes out every other week, received the coupon.
The discount coupon comes on the heels of Central Market’s new Flavor Savers program, announced last week. The grocer identifies “flavor savers” in every store department and lists these in its newsletter stating, “We’ve marked items that give you the best taste at the best value.” Items range from pantry staples to Central Market’s signature chef-prepared favorites, according to the newsletter.
Central Market has seven locations in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano, San Antonio and Southlake, Texas.
