Healthy Family Meals for Less than $10

The Women’s Bean Project, an organization devoted to creating better lives for the disadvantaged women it serves and their families, has unveiled four healthy and delicious gourmet food mix combinations that will feed a family of six for only $9.

The Recession Buster meal was created to provide healthy, convenient and affordable meal options for families in the midst of difficult economic times. The meal features either Toni’s 10-Bean Soup Mix or Firehouse #10 Chili Mix and Golden Cornbread, and can be purchased at http://www.womensbeanproject.com/. Adding Cindy’s Sinfully Chocolate Brownie mix to complete the meals brings the final price to just $13.50.

“We’ve found that during these challenging times, shoppers appreciate being able to spend their hard-earned money on nutritious, hearty and delicious home-cooked meals. Consumers get the added value of knowing they’re supporting a good cause, like the Women’s Bean Project,” says Tamra Ryan, the Denver-based organization’s CEO.

All proceeds from the sales of Women’s Bean Project products help chronically unemployed women develop job and life skills and achieve self-sufficiency. The Recession Buster Promotion will continue through June 30, 2009.
