Harvest Natural Market Opens First of Five Texas Stores
Harvest Natural Market opened its first store in Katy, Texas last month -- the first of five planned locations to open in the state. Other stores will open in The Woodlands, Pecan Grove, Richmond and Sugarland.
The concept seeks to provide customers with the experience of shopping in European markets, specializing in fresh, organic and locally-grown produce; fresh, sustainable seafood; and natural, grass-fed beef. The store also features two restaurants: a fast-service Harvest Express and a full-service Bistro and Bar.
The Cooking House offers customers demonstrations by professional chefs on how to use the fresh products from the market in their own cooking; the Cook Station allows customers to have fresh meat or seafood cooked to order before they leave the store. Other departments include the Chef’s Pick Station with a variety of prepared take-home meals; The Corner Deli with sandwiches, soup and salads to go as well the ingredients to make their own at home; and The Italian Corner seating area where customers can enjoy their purchases from the pasta bar, patisserie, deli, frozen yogurt/gelato station or the coffee/juice bar.
Harvest Natural Market also offers the Silk Road Bazaar, featuring spices, nuts, curry pastes and exotic vegetables. A floral department also is featured as well as a wine and beer department that offers an array of international and domestic varieties and tastings, as well as pairing suggestions.
