Harris Teeter and Sunkist 'Take a Stand' for the United Way of America
This weekend children of Harris Teeter employees and customers have pledged to work together to support the United Way of America organization by setting up Sunkist lemonade stands in front of Harris Teeter's 174 stores.
All proceeds raised from the lemonade sales will go directly to United Way of America. Sunkist, which runs the award-winning Sunkist Take a Stand national cause-marketing campaign, said it will match the funds raised up to $10,000.
United Way of America is a national network made up of about 1,300 local organizations that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income, and health.
Harris Teeter is based in Matthews, N.C. and operates stores in North and South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Delaware, Maryland, Florida, and the District of Columbia.
