Haggen to Equip 50 Stores with ATMs

Haggen said it will install 50 ATMs in stores located throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Nevada.

The West coast grocery chain has tapped ATM service provider Cardtronics, through which Haggen will participate in the company's surcharge-free Allpoint Network. According to the agreement, the company has expansion rights for future Haggen locations.

“As Haggen transitions from its Northwestern regional roots to a larger presence along the West Coast, it’s important for us to provide a consistent, quality experience across both our new and legacy locations,” said Bill Shaner, Haggen CEO, Pacific Southwest, who added that ATM services “will play an important role in helping us provide our customers with convenient access to cash.”

David Dove, Cardtronics president, North American Business Group, said, “The Haggen locations will be an attractive branding opportunity for banks and credit unions looking to expand their presence into stores that are known for a high-quality, locally relevant experience.”
