Grocerant Webinar: Profit From the Changing Way America Eats
Grocery retailers’ fresh prepared food programs – grocerants – have the potential to regain dollars being taken by restaurants that offer meal solutions to time-strapped consumers. Shoppers perceive supermarket offerings to be made with quality ingredients, have a heathier profile than restaurant offerings, and are more affordable. But first, retailers must be part of the consideration set when consumers ask, “What’s for dinner?”
Progressive Grocer’s inaugural Grocerant Summit, held in October, provided retailers with solutions to achieve successful grocerant programs. On Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT/10 a.m. PT, Progressive Grocer will host Grocerant Solutions Webinar, featuring three key presenters at Grocerant Summit, including:
- Penny Anderson, Director, The NPD Group, sharing Grocery’s Place in the Changing Foodservice Landscape, and defining the opportunities successful grocerant programs offer retailers.
- Eric Le Blanc, Director of Marketing, Tyson Foods, on The Consequences of Failure, which highlights the importance of connecting with shoppers before they make their meal decisions and critical issues that must be addressed to meet shopper expectations in-store.
- Christopher Brace, CEO, Shopper Intelligence, who will address The Importance of Family Meals. Despite more people eating alone, family meals represent the highest number of weekly meal occasions. Brace will share tips on how retailers can enlist emotional storytelling to bring families together and gain a seat at the American dinner table.
