Green Hills’ Live Tech Lab to Study Survey Responses’ Link to Shopping Patterns

Green Hills Market’s in-store technology lab, the Center for Advancing Retail & Technology (CART) has formed a new partnership with customer feedback management company Mindshare Technologies to study the relationship between customer survey responses and customer shopping patterns.

Salt Lake City-based Mindshare provides tools developed to help retailers collect feedback in real time on everything from the customer's shopping experience to product availability to where else the customer is shopping.

"Mindshare’s technology is well-aligned with CART’s effort to bring the Retail 3.0 vision to life—making the customer the focus of the entire retail supply chain," says Schuyler Hawkins, spokesperson for CART. "Its survey capabilities allow retailers to know exactly their customer needs and wants right now, and to be able to respond to them."

CART and Mindshare will pursue matching survey participants and responses to customer spending and shopping patterns, and findings will be promulgated across CART's university connections.

CART’s mission is to enhance industry learning through hands-on, behind-the-scenes views into new and forthcoming technologies and discussion focused on changing business practices. Data capabilities at CART support relevant marketing and value to each shopper while providing quantitative and qualitative measures for everything happening in-store.
