GMDC Hires Communications/Marketing Assistant
The Global Market Development Center (GMDC) has hired Olivia Holden as its new communications and marketing assistant.
Holden will support Mark Mechelse, director of research, industry insights and communications, and Joshua Manweiler, communications specialist, as well as provide assistance in the development of communications media and advertising materials to ensure proper representation of the GMDC brand, products and services, while creating engaging editorial content to be used across various social media platforms. Her support in this department will also help enhance several member service projects and the Education Leadership Council including editorial and research in the form of whitepapers and insights.
Before joining GMDC, Holden worked in the communications department at Exelis, a Fortune 500 defense contracting company with a division in Colorado Springs, Colo. There she had the opportunity to develop her skills in photography, writing and design to craft feature stories published in the company’s multi-media channels, including electronic newsletters and websites that were broadcasted out to approximately 8,000 employees and associated government agencies in 20 different countries around the world. She also contributed to the planning and promotional efforts for many company-sponsored events.
