Giant Food Stores Promotes Two Marketing Execs

CARLISLE, Pa. -- Giant Food Stores, LLC, based here, said yesterday it has promoted Sharon Eiswert to director of consumer research, and Jerry Griffin to director of customer relationship marketing. Both will report to Erik Keptner, v.p., consumer insights & sales development.

In her new role, Eiswert is responsible for anticipating strategic consumer research needs and employing research findings to support the business. With Giant since 2000, she has previously worked as senior manager of consumer research, consumer research manager, and senior analyst.

As director of customer relationship marketing, Griffin evaluates customer performance, identifies opportunities, and develops strategic card marketing. Since joining Giant in 2001, he has served as manager of marketing systems and analysis at Giant banner Tops Markets and was promoted to senior manager of customer relationship management and analysis at Giant headquarters.

Giant Food Stores is one of six retail-operating companies under Quincy, Mass.-based Ahold USA. Giant currently operates 103 stores as Giant Food Stores, 123 stores as Tops Markets, and 26 stores as Martin's Food Markets. With nearly 40,000 associates, Giant serves a six-state market area.
