Giant Eagle Launches 20-cent Fuelperks! in Pittsburgh
For the first time ever throughout the Pittsburgh market, Giant Eagle is offering a 20-cent per gallon discount at its GetGo fuel and convenience store locations for every $50 spent with the Giant Eagle Advantage Card inside its stores. The limited-time promotion is in effect for the entire chain through May 29, and is estimated to result in approximately two million gallons of free fuel.
The bonus free fuel reward, which increases the traditional 10 cents per gallon discount earned for purchasing qualifying items and gift cards, comes as millions of consumers prepare to travel the nation’s highways for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, May 25-27.
In addition to earning rewards on everyday perishables, grocery items and gift cards, fuelperks! can also be earned with purchases of no-contract phones and prepaid wireless cards, non-state and non-federally funded pharmacy prescriptions, Dress for Success dry cleaning services and more.
In addition to fuelperks! and the retailer’s recent price reductions and seasonal Low Price Lock campaigns, Giant Eagle offers weekly specials, doubling of manufacturer coupons up to $0.99, and the acceptance of competitor coupons, as well as an option to redeem a 3 cents per gallon discount at GetGo when the Giant Eagle Advantage Card is scanned and fuelperks! are not redeemed.
