Giant-Carlisle Names IT Director
Giant Food Stores, LLC said it has hired Lawrence Knorr as its new director of information systems, to supervise the information systems teams that support marketing and merchandising, supply chain, and retail ISP for the Ahold USA-owned banner.
Knorr will report to MaryJane Jamrogowicz, Giant Food’s v.p. of information systems and technology. His predecessor as director of information systems at Giant Food has left the company, according to a spokeswoman for the grocer.
Before the move to Giant, Knorr’s most recent position was c.i.o. for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Food operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the Giant Food Stores, Martin's Food Markets, and FoodSource banners.
