Fry's Food and Drug Gets Director of Public Relations

TOLLESON, Ariz. -- Fry's Food and Drug, headquartered here, said yesterday it has named Kendra Merritt Doyel director of public relations. Doyel will take charge of Fry's newly established public relations department.

Doyel, who came to Fry's in 1998, previously served as pharmacy operations supervisor, in which capacity she oversaw the management of 39 pharmacies. In her new position Doyel will be responsible for all public and media relations, community affairs, and direct customer communications.

"At Fry's we look at ways to improve the shopping experience for our customers. We also know just how important it is to be a good community partner," said Fry's president Mike Donnelly. "In her new position, Kendra will improve Fry's ability to respond to our customers' needs in their communities."

Fry's operates 112 Fry's Food and Drug Stores, including 19 Fry's Marketplace stores. The retailer's parent is Cincinnati-based Kroger.
