Fortune Names Sealed Air Corp. Most Admired Packaging/Container Firm
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Sealed Air Corp. based here was named by Fortune magazine as the No. 1 company in the packaging and containers industry on the magazine's annual list of America's Most Admired Companies.
In addition to receiving the highest overall ranking, Sealed Air -- recognized globally for its powerful portfolio of brands including Cryovac fresh food packaging, Bubble Wrap cushioning, Jiffy protective mailers and Instapak foam-in-place packaging -- scored highest in the areas of innovation, employee talent, quality of management, long-term investment and quality of products and services.
Most recently, the company has introduced innovative new products to the marketplace including Cryovac Simple Steps packaging for "heat and serve" fresh meats and produce, the Cryovac saddle pack multi-pocket vacuum package for fresh chicken, the NewAir I.B. 200 inflatable packaging system for on-site, on-demand cushioning and Instapak Quick Room Temperature foam packaging. In 2005, Sealed Air reported net sales of $4.1 billion.
