Food Lion Shoppers Get Chance to Meet NASCAR Star
Through April 23, Food Lion customers who buy at least three specially marked items at the store could meet NASCAR race car driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The two-week, chain-wide promotion features a sweepstakes that enables shoppers to take advantage of low prices on 30 popular national-brand products, which are identified by special “Winner’s Circle” shelf tags throughout each Food Lion location. A grand-prize winner, two first-place winners and 300 second-place winners will receive prizes.
The grand prize is a MVP Race Experience that includes meeting Earnhardt; a five-day, four-night trip for two to Charlotte, N.C., tentatively scheduled for some time next month; round-trip air transportation; race passes; a $500 Food Lion gift card; as well as pit crew passes to the Food Lion Speed Street event held in Charlotte in May.
The first-place winners will receive $500 Food Lion gift cards, and the second-place winners will receive $10 Food Lion gift cards. Customers can enter the sweepstakes at the store or by mail.
Salisbury, N.C.-based Food Lion, a subsidiary of Delhaize America, operates more than 1,100 supermarkets and employs about 57,000 associates in 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states.
