Food Lion Launches Annual Easter Seals UCP Campaign in North Carolina
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Now through Feb. 28, all 490 Food Lion stores in North Carolina are conducting the "Shop & Care" campaign to support Easter Seals-United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina, with more than 230 products marked with Shop & Care tags.
Food Lion customers can participate by purchasing the tagged products. Shoppers also can give their support by purchasing $1 Easter Seals at checkout. The Easter Seals are scanable and will be added to the customer's total bill and shown on the receipt for easy record keeping.
Over the last 15 years, Food Lion and its vendor partners have raised more than $11 million for Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina. The chain's Shop & Care campaign is recognized nationally as the largest food industry fundraiser for Easter Seals UCP.
Food Lion LLC is a subsidiary of Brussels-based Delhaize Group operating 1,300 supermarkets, either directly or through affiliated entities, under the names of Food Lion, Bloom, Bottom Dollar, Harveys, and Reid's.
