Farm Fresh to Sell Reusable Grocery Bags

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Farm Fresh Supermarkets, a regional chain here that's a banner of Supervalu, Inc., is the latest grocer to begin selling reusable grocery bags.

Every time a customer uses a reusable bag, which is made from recycled materials, Farm Fresh will donate five cents to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, according to local press reports. Customers will also get a five-cent refund each time they use the bags.


Farm Fresh said it will continue to offer collection spots for recyclable paper and plastic bags at its stores, according to reports.
