Entenmann’s Taps White Coffee as Licensee for Flavored Coffee, Cocoa
Entenmann’s Bakery, a sweet baked goods company in Bay Shore, N.Y., has joined forces with fellow Long Island company White Coffee Corp. on a signature collection of flavored coffees and cocoa. The premium 100 percent Arabica coffee, licensed by White Coffee and now sold at Burlington Coat Factory, Dollar Tree and Entenmann’s Outlets, is expected to roll out to the mass market, supermarket, club store, drug store and foodservice channels nationwide next year.
The Entenmann’s Coffee line will come in 10-ounce bags and gift packs offering such bakery-inspired flavors as Cinnamon Crumb Cake, Hazelnut, Vanilla and Chocolate Donut. Additionally, Entenmann’s cocoa will be available in Original and Mint varieties. More than 26 million U.S. households nationwide purchase Entenmann’s sweet baked goods. Among Entenmann’s best sellers are Original Recipe Soft-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies, Crumb Cake and Rich Frosted Donuts.
“As the premier name in sweet baked goods for more than 100 years, Entenmann’s has a great brand heritage and a wide range of product offerings that translate well to flavored coffee,” noted Lorraine Hale, marketing director for licensing for Entenmann’s, which began operations in Brooklyn back in 1898 and is now part of the Bimbo Bakeries USA family of companies.
“Entenmann’s is an iconic brand known for the finest in bakery products,” added Jonathan White, EVP of Long Island City, N.Y.-based White Coffee, a third-generation family-owned coffee importing and roasting business founded in 1939. White describes the collaborative product line as “a unique range of deliciously aromatic, well-balanced coffees based on Entenmann's most famous sweet baked products.”
