Dutch Exec Nominated for Ahold Supervisory Board

Ahold said yesterday that Ben Noteboom, c.e.o. and chairman of the executive board of Amsterdam-based international staffing agency Randstad Holding nv, has been nominated for appointment to the Ahold Supervisory Board. His nomination will be on the agenda of Ahold's next general meeting of shareholders, which will be held April 28, 2009.

Current members of the Ahold Supervisory Board are René Dahan, chairman, chairman of the selection and appointment Committee; Tom de Swaan, vice chairman, chairman of the audit committee; Derk Doijer, chairman of the remuneration committee; Karen de Segundo; Stephanie Shern; Judith Sprieser; and Mark McGrath.

The Supervisory Board is an independent corporate body that supervises and advises the Ahold's Corporate Executive Board, and oversees the general course of affairs and the strategy of the Amsterdam-based retail conglomerate.
