Dress For Success Cleaners, Giant Eagle Kick off 'Klothes For Kids' Drive

PITTSBURGH. -- Giant Eagle here has teamed up with Santa Ana, Calif.-based Dress For Success Cleaners (DFS), an operator of hundreds of dry cleaning and laundry locations exclusively in supermarkets across the country, as well as in Australia, for "Klothes For Kids," a community-based back-to-school clothes drive for needy children.

"Klothes For Kids" began Aug. 4 and will run through the end of the month at 82 Giant Eagle stores throughout western Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio that offer Dress For Success Cleaners in-store dry-cleaning services. During the drive, shoppers can either donate new clothes or "gently used" coats and sweaters that will be cleaned at no charge. All items will be contributed to area charities.

"We have a long history of supporting child-oriented initiatives that are designed to enrich a child's life and assist in their social, physical and educational development," said Giant Eagle marketing manager community relations Tina Thomson in a statement. "We are proud to offer such a valuable program that will help children enter the upcoming school year with a heightened sense of confidence."
