Dietz & Watson Wants Consumers to ‘Ciao Down’ on Chicken Parm

To support its recently introduced Chicken Parmigiana deli meat product for the service deli, Dietz & Watson, one of the nation’s oldest and most famous providers of premium deli meats and artisan cheeses, is offering one winner a chance to “Ciao Down in Rome” with a trip for two to for six days and seven nights in Rome, Italy.

To enter the Facebook-based sweepstakes, consumers who “Like” Dietz & Watson on the company’s page can click the “Flavors of Italy” tab and fill out the form to enter. They’ll also find recipes featuring Chicken Parm, a Chicken Parm product/store locator and more. Visitors can enter once each day through May 30.

The unique item was developed after too much tomato sauce was ordered for an event in 2010. Instead of letting the extra gallons of sauce go to waste, Philadelphia-based Dietz & Watson decided to put it to use by creating a new product, and Chicken Parmigiana was the result, after more than a year of fine-tuning.
