D'Agostino Hires New Director of GM/HBC

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - D'Agostino Supermarkets, based here, announced today that Neil Buckley has joined the company as director of general merchandise and HBC, replacing David D'Agostino, who has relinquished the position to concentrate on the company's online shopping service at

Buckley comes to D'Agostino after 10 years with U.S. Merchandising, a full-service merchandising company specializing in the distribution and service of GM and HBC products and departments. He began his career with U.S. Merchandising in 1994 and worked in various capacities throughout the company, handling such activities as the sourcing and buying of products to corporate sales calls. In 2002 he was named g.m., a position he held until his move to D'Agostino.

"Neil brings to D'Ag the special talent and experience needed to develop our GM and HBC departments so they better meet the needs of our customers. He will be a strong addition to our merchandising team."

D'Agostino operates 22 supermarkets in the New York metropolitan area. Twenty stores are in New York City and two in Westchester County.
