Giant Eagle, Inc. yesterday began making 10 broadly used generic prescription antibiotics in 46 common dosages free at all of its 210 in-store pharmacies. Company officials said the wellness program is expected to save consumers $4.6 million annually.

PITTSBURGH - The deeply discounted generic drug movement picked up more steam late last week when Giant Eagle, Inc. here unveiled an extensive discounted generic prescription drug program in all of its Ohio supermarket pharmacies.
