Coborn’s Adopts Food Safety Compliance Management Solution

Minnesota-based Coborn’s has chosen to manage regulatory and business documentation compliance for food safety within its supply chain with a solution from ReposiTrak.

“For over 95 years, shoppers have trusted our stores to provide them with safe, quality food,” said Chris Coborn, president/CEO of the grocery chain. “With FSMA finalizing in less than six months, we were looking for an automated system that would enable us to better manage our growing list of compliance documentation and help protect Coborn’s brand equity.”

Coborn’s operates a chain of 54 Coborn’s, Cash Wise Foods and Save-A-Lot grocery stores in the upper Midwest, along with convenience, liquor and pharmacies.

ReposiTrak is a wholly owned subsidiary of Park City Group, which helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharma and dietary supply chains. The platform consists of two systems:

  • Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents.
  • Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
