The Chilean Blueberry Committee, a division of the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association, has introduced a nutritional brochure that explains the benefits of fresh winter blueberries.
Available online, the Little Blue Dynamos brochure includes health information, nutrition tips and facts, along with easy recipes that feature fresh blueberries and other Chilean fruits.
Citing leading nutrition experts, the committee notes that blueberries are purported to improve brain function, prevent Alzheimer's disease and dementia, and lower the risk of heart disease and cancer.
On the website, wine country chef Lisa Hemenway leads the step-by-step videos for Fresh Fruit Pizza, Blueberry Bread Pudding with Lemon Custard Sauce and more.
Chile is currently the second largest producer of cultivated blueberries worldwide.
