Canadian Retailer T & T Supermarket Opens Asian-themed Store in Surrey

RICHMOND, BC, Canada -- T & T Supermarket, Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain, opened a new store at Central City Shopping Centre in Surrey, to serve the town's multi-cultural community with a wide selection of Asian cuisine.

"Surrey is a large and thriving city," said Cindy Lee, c.e.o. of T & T. "It has a rapidly growing and diverse population with different ethnic food habits and preferences. Shoppers looking for non-mainstream food items often have to visit different locations in the city to find what they want."

The new T & T Central City store is 50,000 square feet, and was designed to meet the multi-cultural community's demand for freshness and variety of ethnic products, while offering comfort and convenience in a one-stop shopping environment.

"We have taken the concept of freshness and modern day convenience even further by having a large ready-to-serve meal counter with a seating area, and an in-house bakery," Lee added. "Shoppers entering our store will enjoy the colorful array of freshly made Sushi, and hot and cold Asian deli items for eat-in and take-out. They will also find the aroma of freshly baked bread and the display of beautifully decorated cakes irresistible."

T & T Supermarket Inc. has 13 stores across Canada with eight located in Greater Vancouver, one in Edmonton, one in Calgary, and three in Greater Toronto. Two more T & T stores are expected to open in Calgary and Mississauga respectively before the end of the year.
