Big G Cereals Is Calling All Monster Lovers
As All Hallows’ Eve looms, three of America’s most iconic monsters, Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry, have returned to grocery shelves nationawide for a limited time, while supplies last. Fans of Big G Monster Cereals have enjoyed the seasonal cereals for more than 40 years.
“Big G Monsters Cereals are a celebrated Halloween tradition for families around the country,” noted Susanne Prucha, marketing manager with Minneapolis-based General Mills, the manufacturer of Big G Cereals. “Many parents fondly remember when Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry cereals were first released and can connect with their kids through the playful characters and great taste.”
First introduced in 1971, Count Chocula cereal combines chocolaty cereal made with whole grain corn and colorful marshmallow shapes. Dating from the same year, Franken Berry cereal offers up strawberry-flavored cereal made with whole grain corn and colorful marshmallow shapes. The youngest of the three monsters, Boo Berry, was first introduced in 1973 as a blue ghost with a purple tie and hat. Boo Berry cereal consists of blueberry-flavored frosted cereal made with whole grain corn and colorful marshmallow shapes.
Retailing for a suggested price of $2.50 each, the cereals provide a good source of whole grain, calcium, and nine essential vitamins and minerals.
