AWG Wins Best Businesses Awards

Associated Wholesale Grocers was honored with two Best Businesses Awards. It was selected for the 2016 Best Businesses of Southaven (Miss.) Award in the Grocery category by the Best Businesses of Southaven Award program. AWG also was chosen for the 2016 Best Businesses of Kansas City (Mo.) Award in the Grocery category by the Best Businesses of Kansas City Award program. It's the second time since 2014 that the wholesaler has won both of these awards.

Each year, the Best Businesses program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their respective communities and business categories. The local companies enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and to the community.

Winners are analyzed through several categories that focus on quality, not quantity, with information gathered internally by the Best Businesses program and through third-party-provided data. The annual awards honor the companies that use best practices and have implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
