John is Executive in Residence, Deloitte Service Modernization where he contributes to strategy, marketing, and go-to-market related activities. In this role, John draws on his experience in technology, industry transformation and packaged goods to help shape the direction, messaging and customer outreach of the Omniscient Grocer initiative. John is also Managing Partner of the Sorium Group, a business and marketing strategy firm. John advises firms in a variety of industries and sits on the Board of Directors of Waymark, an AI-media start-up.
Previously, John was a global Chief Marketing Officer for several Fortune 500 companies where he led value-enhancing enterprise strategic pivots, expanded marketing’s revenue contribution and championed digital transformation. John spent 18 years with IBM, eight of which were based in Asia-Pacific. He began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble on the Downy Brand. John has an MBA from Harvard Business School and BA degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. John resides in Greenwich, CT.
