A&P reminds shoppers that since bad weather can occur any time, they should equip their homes and cars with such items as a shovel; first-aid kit; flashlights; a battery-powered radio; extra batteries; bottled water; canned foods such as soup, vegetables, and fruit; and battery-powered can opener.
