Amazon Adds New Seasons to Seattle Prime Now Delivery

Amazon.com has added New Seasons Market to its list of retailers from which Seattle-area residents can order groceries for delivery via its Prime Now service, which drops orders at members’ doorsteps within two hours.

Through Prime Now – part of Seattle-based Amazon’s Prime paid subscription service, which offers free two-day shipping and other amenities – customers in the Seattle market can now shop thousands of fresh, organic and local products from New Seasons’ Mercer Island, Wash., store, and have them delivered within an hour for $7.99 or two hours at no charge. Orders from the store are available between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day.

Customers may choose from organic produce and meats from the region’s top producers; made-from-scratch foods; freshly baked organic, non-GMO breads; and more. They also may select from a wide array of beer and wine in neighborhoods far beyond New Seasons’ Mercer Island location, including Bellevue, Issaquah, Laurelhurst, Renton and West Seattle.

Amazon currently offers tens of thousands of items in the Seattle area through Prime Now, including products through its namesake service, PCC Natural Markets, Uwajimaya, Bartell Drugs and popular local restaurants. For instance, Prime members can order everything on their grocery lists, from PCC’s made-daily prepared foods and organic local produce to Uwajimaya’s large selection of Eastern-inspired products, including cuts of meat and Asian snacks. Customers also may shop thousands of grocery and health and beauty care products from Bartell Drugs, which has doubled its reach in the region through Prime Now.

Based in Portland, Ore., New Seasons Market operates 20 stores, most of them in the Portland metropolitan area. Its Mercer Island store opened in November 2016.
