Ahold Wants PwC as Auditor in FY ’13

Ahold’s supervisory board will recommend at its April 2013 annual general meeting of shareholders that New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers be appointed the Amsterdam-based retail conglomerate’s auditor, effective as of the 2013 fiscal year.

The recommendation comes in the wake of a competitive tender process that Ahold conducted in line with its views on good corporate governance.

Ahold’s current auditor, New York-based Deloitte, which has held the company’s account for more than 25 years, remains in place for the audit of the 2012 fiscal year.
