In its continuing mission to help shoppers incorporate more fresh and healthy meals into their routines, Ahold USA and its retail divisions have rolled out the "Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy" digital content platform and magazine.
The exclusive publication will be available in stores, online, and via smartphone and tablet devices starting June 14. Part of the overall digital content platform, the magazine is free to customers who use their loyalty cards, and will come out four times in 2015.
Ahold USA celebrated the rollout with an "After Party" for its vendor partners, held June 9 at the Marriott Downtown on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, following the day's activities at FMI Connect, which runs through June 11 at McCormick Place in the Windy City.
"Savory was designed to help make every day a little fresher, a little easier and a little more delicious for our busy customers," explained Amy Hahn, SVP of marketing at Carlisle, Pa.-based Ahold USA. "Savory is a go-to guide with inspirational recipes and meal solutions that help our customers save time, save money, and eat well."
The inaugural issue of the 120-page, full-color Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy magazine features grilling favorites and new recipes for simple summer meals. Regular content will include recipes, question-and-answer sessions with a nutritionist, and a "Take 5" feature offering five ingredients for a quick meal.
Customers can access Savory Fast, Fresh and Easy through the websites of Ahold USA's retail divisions or by downloading the free app, which will be available at launch to download for Apple, Android, Kindle and Windows devices.
