AFFI Names Alison Bodor President/CEO

The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) has appointed Alison Bodor its new president and CEO, effective May 16. She succeeds AFFI interim President Joseph Clayton.

“We … believe Alison’s extensive public policy and leadership experience will further strengthen our efforts on behalf of frozen food and beverage makers,” noted AFFI Board Chair Larry Cope, executive chairman of Buhl, Idaho-based Clear Springs Foods.

Bodor’s most recent position was EVP of the Washington, D.C.-based National Confectioners Association (NCA), in which she provided strategic leadership across multiple disciplines while directly leading the trade association’s public policy and advocacy team. In this role, she set the organization’s legislative, regulatory and research priorities regarding health, food safety and quality, agriculture and trade policy, and the cocoa supply chain.

Before joining NCA in 2000, Bodor held positions in domestic and international regulatory compliance at McCormick & Co. and the U.S. Dairy Export Council.  She also spent four years conducting dietary risk assessments for the food and beverage industries with Technical Assessment Systems and then Environ International Corp.

Global executive search firm Spencer Stuart helped McLean, Va.-based AFFI recruit Bodor for her new role.
