Winn-Dixie Expands ‘fuelperks!’ Program in Central Florida

Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. has expanded its central Florida participation in the “fuelperks!” Rewards Program. Sixty-two Orlando- and Daytona-area stores can now earn discounts on gasoline that can be redeemed at more than 150 participating Shell stations.

“Our goal is to provide our guests a great shopping experience that offers convenience and savings,” said Dan Lafever, regional VP of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie. “By enrolling in this free program, and taking advantage of our many Bonus fuelperks! Rewards items inside the stores, our guests will be thrilled by how much they will save at the pump.”

Customers will earn a 5-cents-per-gallon discount for every $50 in qualified purchases they make at Winn-Dixie using their fuelperks! rewards cards. The purchases don’t have to be made in a single visit and are stackable; spending $100 will earn a 10-cents-per-gallon discount, and so on. The discount can then be redeemed at a single fill-up of up to 20 gallons at a participating Shell station. The fuelperks! program also includes weekly bonus items that can be purchased to increase the discounts.

The Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card (CRC) has been redesigned to add a magnetic strip to the back, making it similar to a credit or debit card, the company said. The card is required to participate in the fuelperks! program, which is provided by Irving, Texas-based Excentus Corp.

“With conveniently located participating Shell stations throughout the participating Winn-Dixie markets, it has never been easier for customers to save on Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines, including our premium gasoline, Shell V-Power,” noted Dan Little, fuels marketing manager at Houston-based Shell North America.

Winn-Dixie customers at more than 300 locations in Florida, Georgia and Louisiana have already saved more than $26 million through fuelperks!, according to the grocer.
