Winn-Dixie Earns $23M in June
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. said in its latest monthly operating report that it earned $23 million in June, but saw a slight decrease in sales.
The retailer, which is on track to emerge from bankruptcy in late October, reported net sales of $542 million, a decrease of 2.7 percent from the previous month.
Its earnings were driven primarily by a restructuring gain of $40 million, and $5 million from the sale of company assets during the month.
