WhiteWave, Agency Win Award for Revamped Coffee Creamer Container
WhiteWave Foods Co. and structural innovation agency Product Ventures have won the 2009 AmeriStar Award for excellence in overall package design and functionality for the newly redesigned International Delight coffee creamer container.
Retained by WhiteWave, a Broomfield, Colo.-based subsidiary of Dean Foods, to address problems with the production and functional issues of the coffee creamer, Product Ventures had its insights team conduct extensive research to evaluate the category and determine consumers' wants and needs associated with functionality and aesthetics, while the agency's design and engineering teams transformed those needs and wants into reality. International Delight now boasts a sleeker, more European, design that strategically maintains the brand's message of continued pleasure and enjoyment.
Fairfield County, Conn.-based Product Ventures performed the CAD engineering for the closure and bottle, in close collaboration with Seaquist Closures and Graham Packaging Co. Product Ventures and WhiteWave will receive the 2009 AmeriStar Award in Chicago at the IoPP Packaging Summit in May.
